Prime Photonics and Virginia Tech to Host Fall 2019 PIWG Conference

July 29, 2019 (Blacksburg, VA) – Prime Photonics and Virginia Tech will be co-hosting the Propulsion Instrumentation Working Group (PIWG) Fall 2019 Conference in Blacksburg, VA. The conference will include special team meetings on Tuesday, September 24, and Technical presentations and tours September 25 and 26 at the Skelton Conference Center and nearby Virginia Tech. This is an open and unrestricted international technical conference, open to both PIWG and non-PIWG members. Prime Photonics Presents at PS&S/AA&S conference

April 25th, 2019 (National Harbor, MD) – Today at the Propulsion Safety & Sustainment(PS&S)/Aircraft Airworthiness & Sustainment Conference(AA&S) 2019 EVI- joint conference Steve Poland, CEO for Prime Photonics, made the presentation “S-Caesar Demonstration of a Combined Optical Blade Tip Timing and Clearance Sensor”. In the talk, Mr. Poland discussed a recent hot section engine test in which Prime Photonics performed Blade Tip Timing and Blade Tip Clearance measurements on a retired cruise missile gas turbine engine. The Prime Photonics FOCIS™ high temperature optical engine probes were used in the late 2018 test to monitor rotor stage 1 of the F112 engine.

Prime Photonics at the 2019 Step Forward: New River Valley Conference

March 6,2019 (Dublin, VA) – Prime Photonics Manufacturing and Quality Manager, Hilary Whiting, will be representing Prime Photonics at the 2019 Step Forward: New River Valley Conference, taking place at Volvo Trucks Customer Center on March 13th -14th, 2019. Step Forward is a professional development conference for women in manufacturing and will feature sessions including: Networking promoting Women in Manufacturing, StrengthsFinder 2.0, Reciprocity Ring, “What the Data Shows”, Executive Insights: What I Wish I Knew, and LEAD by Example. Prime Photonics to Exhibit at Apex Users Conference

February 6, 2019 (Blacksburg, VA) – Prime Photonics will be exhibiting at the 2019 Apex Turbine Testing Technologies User Conference, February 25-March 1 in Nashville, TN, at the Hilton Garden Inn Nashville Vanderbilt. At the conference, Prime Photonics will be demonstrating industry leading FOCIS™ hardware and sensors used for rotor blade speed and vibration measurements for the test and validation of gas turbines, compressor systems, turbochargers and other rotating equipment applications.

Prime Photonics Participates in the 2018 Turbine Engine Technology Symposium (TETS)

August 27, 2018 (Dayton, OH) – Prime Photonics will exhibit and present at the 2018 Turbine Engine Technology Symposium (TETS). held Sept 10-13 in Dayton, Ohio. The TETS Symposium is a biennial forum where the United States' turbine engine community gathers to review and discuss the latest turbine engine technology advances. The Symposium draws an audience of approximately 1000 engineers, scientists, managers, and operational personnel from throughout the turbine engine community, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, NASA, DARPA, DOE, FAA, engine and aircraft manufacturers, material and component suppliers, and academia.

Montgomery County Company Selected to Participate in Virginia’s VALET Program

-Two-year export program provides resources to support international business expansion-

RICHMOND - The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) today announced the acceptance of a Montgomery County company, Prime Photonics, LC, into its two-year Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) program. The VALET program assists exporters in the Commonwealth that have firmly established domestic operations and are committed to international exporting as a growth strategy. To participate, each business must meet both quantitative and qualitative selection criteria. Participating firms are chosen based on their dedication to growing export sales. To date, 304 Virginia companies have been accepted to participate in the VALET program.
