Our laser and amplifier module generates a laser light for the optical probes, receives the light back from the probe, and converts the light to an analog voltage.

This module is controlled via command line functions through a DB9 connector in the back of the unit. Controls allow the user to modify the laser power, the gain of each detector (which can be set to auto-gain or to a fixed gain), and switch between AC and DC coupling.
This module has two optical-to-electrical conversion circuits, and either one or two laser circuits.
Voltage output is -5V to +5V via BNC connectors.

Several modules are available with various lasers, detectors, and connectors. Below are the main parameters:

Standalone or Packaged
This module can be used either as a standalone unit or packaged in a Sensor Interface Unit.
As a standalone unit, the laser and amplifier module requires a 12V power supply.
Up to 8 modules can be packaged in a Sensor Interface Unit (SIU). When packaged in an SIU, the settings of each module can be controlled in a web browser via an Ethernet connection.
