Laser / Detector Module
This module combines two functions:
- A laser card generates the laser light for the optical probes
- A detector card receives the optical signal from the optical probes and converts it to an electrical signal (analog voltage) proportional to the intensity of the optical signal received
This card is controlled via command line functions to modify the laser power, the detector gain, and switch between AC and DC coupling.
This module has two optical-to-electrical conversion circuits, and configurations with one or two laser circuits.
Analog To Digital Fast Capture Card
Our Data Capture Card (DCC) is dedicated to processing fast voltage signals (typically from 50 per second to 60,000 per second), converting the voltage signals into digital signals, and processing the digital signals in real-time to extract timing of the rise, fall, various threshold levels, and mid-point of the signal.
This card has a very high sampling rate of 100 MHz (100 million samples per second) on 4 channels simultaneously.
The card is in a PXIe format.
VectorLightTM VL900 Optical to Electrical Signal Converter Card
The VL900 detector card receives an optical input and converts the signal to an analog voltage signal proportional to the intensity of the optical signal received.
This card has two optical input and two electrical output. Both optical input to electrical output circuits are identical.
Physical switches on the top of the box allow control of the detector gain and switch between AC and DC coupling.

Optical Oscilloscope Card
The optical oscilloscope card receives an optical input and output a digital signal proportional to the intensity of the optical signal received.
This card has two identical circuits and can process two optical signals in parallel. It is packaged in a PXIe format.
The optical oscilloscope card comes with a software application that controls the gain of the processor card, captures data, and either saves the data to a CSV file and/or plots the data.
TTL Converter Module
The TTL module converts an analog voltage signal to a TTL square wave.
This card has two identical circuits and can process two optical signals in parallel.
The TTL module input is typically connected to the output of an SIU module to create a speed sensor or a once-per-revolution signal. It is also used for connection to legacy blade tip timing systems.
