Measure Speed of a Bladed System
Prime Photonics' blade speed system measures the speed of a bladed rotor by counting blades.
Components
This all-optical system consists of the following elements:
- An optical probe placed at a close distance from the blades, from 0.02" (0.5 mm) to 0.24" (6 mm). We make probes for a wide range of rotor temperatures, in excess of 1200F (650C) uncooled and higher temperature with cooled probes [More about optical probes...]
- An instrumentation module containing the laser that injects light into the optical probe and the photodetector which converts the reflected light into an analog voltage [More about instrumentation]
- A TTL converter converts the blade passage signal into a square wave [More about our TTL converter]
- A pulse counter counts the number of TTL pulses
Configure To Your Rotor
Our speed sensors can be configured to your application with multiple channels, remote control, high temperature probes and more. Please contact us for more information.
