April 25th, 2019 (National Harbor, MD) – Today at the Propulsion Safety & Sustainment(PS&S)/Aircraft Airworthiness & Sustainment Conference(AA&S) 2019 EVI- joint conference Steve Poland, CEO for Prime Photonics, made the presentation “S-Caesar Demonstration of a Combined Optical Blade Tip Timing and Clearance Sensor”. In the talk, Mr. Poland discussed a recent hot section engine test in which Prime Photonics performed Blade Tip Timing and Blade Tip Clearance measurements on a retired cruise missile gas turbine engine. The Prime Photonics FOCIS™ high temperature optical engine probes were used in the late 2018 test to monitor rotor stage 1 of the F112 engine.
